The Affiliate Portal is an in-house replacement for third-party affiliate platforms. I owned the architecture, the deployment security and the CI/CD, working alongside the dev and QA teams who built it.
Context
The goal was to replace third-party affiliate platforms with an in-house portal.
My role
I owned three parts: the architecture, the deployment security and the CI/CD pipeline. The dev and QA teams built the application, and I worked alongside them throughout.
Approach
- CI/CD on GitHub Actions, with a test gate so changes that fail tests do not ship.
- Auto-rollback, so a bad deploy reverts without manual intervention.
- Deployment security: the portal runs on AWS behind Cloudflare.
